Yamaha XVS650 «Free Rider»

В 2019 году в нашей мастерской начался новый проект. Заказчик привёз к нам не целый мотоцикл, а лишь раму и двигатель от Yamaha XVS 650, с просьбой сотворить боббер, который был бы особенным. Вместе с рамой он привёз набор деталей, среди которых были заготовки для крыльев, бак, сиденье на пружинах и редкая вилка спрингер. Сначала мы собрали простую версию боббера — таких можно встретить много. Но после нескольких разговоров с заказчиком у нас родилась амбициозная идея: создать уникальный классический мотоцикл с элементами ручной работы. Заказчик поддержал идею, и мы начали работу: сохранили стандартную раму, а остальные решения разрабатывали под выбранную классическую стилистику.
Ручная работа
Мы закупили латунь, нержавеющую и конструкционную сталь и приступили к работе. Однако из-за COVID-19 работа остановилась: часть чертежей потерялась, а доступ к материалам и магазинам был закрыт. Я остался один в мастерской, но, пересилив обстоятельства, снова взялся за проект.
С каждой деталью я погружался всё глубже в процесс: шлифовальной машинкой и напильником изготавливал курки тормоза и сцепления, выточил выносы для подножек. По мере работы появлялись новые детали. Для бензобака изготовил крышку в классическом стиле, указатель уровня топлива из латунной трубки и декоративные латунные вставки. Я переработал и спидометр, снабдив его новой шкалой от Sirco Design и стрелкой из старой приборной панели Явы, которая добавила ретро-акцент.
Открытая механика и отделка
Сиденье пришлось переделывать с нуля: старое не соответствовало стилю, который постепенно обретал очертания. В отличие от других проектов, где детали обычно скрываются под слоем краски, здесь я решил оставить всё на виду, чтобы подчеркнуть каждую линию, каждую деталь. Хромирование, тщательная полировка латунных и стальных элементов — всё работало на общее впечатление.
Когда дело дошло до бензобака и крыльев, мне захотелось придать им дополнительный шарм: отшлифовал металл, покрыл лаком, нанёс графику. После множества проб с инструментами и абразивами добился особого эффекта — металл словно ожил под слоем лака, а рисунки подчеркнули его текстуру.
Результат
Так появился Yamaha XVS 650 «Free Rider»: мотоцикл, характер которого строится на открытом металле, ручной обработке и деталях, изготовленных специально для проекта.
Для мастерской этот проект стал важной работой, в которой идея развивалась вместе с каждой новой деталью.
Suzuki VL-800 «Irish»

Проект «Irish» построен вокруг ирландской темы и необычных предметов разных эпох, которые стали функциональными деталями мотоцикла.
Предметы с историей
Крепления и переходные элементы для «Irish» изготовлены вручную с учётом формы и состояния каждого исходного предмета.

В проекте использованы ножной насос Dunlop 1970-х годов, огнетушитель XIX века и корпус фары 1960-х. Каждый предмет получил новую функцию и собственное крепление.

Композиция
Композиция получилась намеренно эклектичной: детали не маскируют свой возраст и происхождение, а формируют характер мотоцикла.

Одна из самых заметных деталей — бутылка виски, переоборудованная в расширительный бачок. Она поддерживает общую тему и при этом выполняет практическую задачу.
Результат
«Irish» получился узнаваемым авторским проектом, построенным не на каталожных аксессуарах, а на сочетании найденных предметов и деталей ручной работы.
Старинные предметы здесь не служат декорацией: они включены в конструкцию и определяют визуальный язык всего мотоцикла.
